Trumpet of Patriots has appointed Suellen Wrightson as its leader of the lower house and endorsed candidate for Hunter, taking on Peter Dutton and Anthony Albanese to be Australia’s next PM at the upcoming Federal election.

Trumpet of Patriots Chairman Clive Palmer has called for the abolition of net zero and the Paris Agreement which have added to spiralling cost-of-living pressures for Australian families.

“High energy costs and cost of living pressures because of net zero measures are causing harm to many Australian families,’’ Mr Palmer said.

“The mad rush to unreliable renewal energy has seen increases in the cost of living, increases in the cost of power and the destruction of communities across the nation.

“Net zero means zero coal mines, zero money and zero jobs for the resources sector,’’ he said

“Because of increases in the cost of living and three years of declining living standards, there’s now over 3.7 million Australian households that don’t have enough food.

“They can’t afford it because of the cost of living that the Labor Party brought upon them, because of the excess spending and waste of taxpayer funds, because of the uni-party’s lack of leadership and ideas.

“Both the Coalition and Labor are committed to net zero. The Liberal Party and Labor share 99% of the same policies. It’s time for change,

Chairman and spokesperson for Trumpet of Patriots, Clive Palmer, has criticised Labor and the Coalition’s weak response to reducing government debt, saying the ‘uni-party’ had no solutions for the most pressing issues facing Australians.

Mr Palmer said Labor rushing through its $5 a week tax cuts and the Liberals’ tax breaks for business lunches showed just how out of touch the major parties were.

“These are not the pressing issues facing Australians. The real issue is the trillion dollars of debt we are saddled with. Labor and the Liberals have no solutions,’’ Mr Palmer said.

To reduce debt, the Trumpet of Patriots will place 15% licence fee on all iron ore exports from Australia.

“Australia is the key player in the world in iron ore. China has become a manufacturing superpower on the back of Australian iron ore and its economy is one of the largest in the world.

“By placing a 15% licence fee on all iron ore exports from Australia we can eliminate the government’s debt and free Australia to be all it can be,’’ Mr Palmer said.

Mr Palmer said Peter Dutton’s plan to allow first home buyers to take $50,000 out of their superannuation was no answer.

Trumpet of Patriots has three policy measures to deliver a lasting solution to the housing crisis: the construction of high-speed rail to open affordable land for housing, allowing Australians to access superannuation for home deposits, and capping interest rates at 3%.

“We can solve the housing crisis by establishing fast train rail tracks extending 120 kilometres from our capital cities, creating a 20-minute commute to the CBD.

“This will not only relieve traffic congestion but also unlock affordable land, making homeownership attainable for more Australians by bringing the cost of housing down by 50%,” Mr Palmer said.

Under the Trumpet of Patriots, Australians will be able to access up to 30% of their superannuation to fund a home deposit.

“This will give millions the opportunity to enter the housing market, reducing rental demand and ultimately driving down homelessness and poverty,” he said.

Mr Palmer said Australia’s balance sheet and financial rating could be leveraged to cap interest rates at 3%, preventing thousands of Australians from losing their homes.

The Trumpet of Patriots have also vowed to make education free for Australians by doubling the fees of the hundreds of thousands of foreign students who attend our universities.

“Australian academics have built our world class education assets which should be for Australians first,’’ he said.

“Where Labor and the Liberals promote trivial issues, the Trumpet of Patriots is for all Australians who have contributed to our great nation.

Chairman of Trumpet of Patriots, Clive Palmer, announced today that his party would follow an Elon Musk/Donald Trump policy of stamping out massive overspending and waste in the public sector.

“The waste is astounding. We have around 60,000 consultants employed to do public servants’ work and consultants fees are far greater than full-time public sector wages – in some cases, four to five times greater,” Mr Palmer said.
